Meet the Family
Bride’s Family:
Dale and Lori Goldsby
Kitty’s parents met when they were 17 and 15 and have been in love ever since! Their loving relationship was always something Kitty knew she wanted for herself one day, and now she has found it with Alex. Dale is an engineer and taught Kitty how to be handy around the house, how to solve complex problems, and how to have that wonderful, dry sense of humor she is known for. Lori has had many jobs, teacher, newspaper editor, charity event coordinator, chef, and kitchen designer. She gave Kitty her love of fashion, her love of charity work, and her love of reading. Lori and Dale have always been in her corner, whether she is entering writing contests, riding competitions, or surviving vet school, and she is so thankful to have them supporting her again as she and Alex prepare to start their lives together.
Rick Colburn and Erica Colburn
Kitty’s uncle has been an enormous part of her life, and he has welcomed Alex into the family with open arms. He even made the trek out to Kansas a few times to visit both of them in college. They were so honored when he agreed to officiate the wedding. They knew they wanted someone close to both of them to officiate so the ceremony will be more personal and family oriented. Erica joined the family later in life, but has been excitedly welcomed by everyone.
Ryan and Rachel Colburn
Kitty’s cousins have been more like the younger siblings she always wanted. They have grown up together and she and Alex couldn't picture getting married without them. This will truly be a family affair!
Nellie and Don Goldsby
Kitty’s grandparents have always been a huge part of her life. Papa (Don) taught Kitty to paint and carve, and Nana (Nellie) taught Kitty all about plants and flowers. Growing up, visiting the pond on their farm was a highlight of her childhood! They have welcomed Alex with open arms and are so excited to see the family grow.
Groom’s Family:
Bill and Andrea Bezek
Bill and Andrea met in college and Bill quickly fell in love with Andrea and Alex, and their family began! Bill has had many jobs in programming and his versatility is something Alex really admires. He also made sure Alex had computer exposure from a young age, which helped Alex grow his interest in computers and programming. Alex has inherited his “can-do” attitude and is always up for a working challenge! Andrea gave Alex her love of science, and his strong sense of family loyalty. Andrea also runs the family real estate business, and has definitely given Alex his amazing drive to do his work at top levels every time. His family loves him so much and is so excited to add Kitty to the family.
Gabe and Michael Bezek
Alex’s brothers have been a big part of Kitty and Alex’s lives. They have been together over half of the youngest, Michael's life! With Alex and Kitty’s love of family, they are so excited to share this day with his brothers.
Joyce and Bob Slater
Alex’s grandparents have always been so welcoming to new family. It is clear how much family means to them. Alex grew up for the first few years of his life with his mom in his grandparents’ house, so his relationship has always been very close. We are so excited to share this day with them.
