How Did The Baron Die?
The Baron's death was suspicious to say the least. The "family curse" is apparently real, and darker than imagined. Who took the family sword and why? Why are there abandoned and hidden temples under the castle? How will James choose between honoring his promise to his love and his father's promise to the Tanglewoods? Blitherby's strange almost-Shinze braid and the strange temples under the house make him a prime suspect--but what did he do?
Blitherby
Blitherby is the very self-important butler of the Glasserune family. He has served them for decades, training under his father, who trained under his grandfather, and so on. The families are intertwined throughout their history.
He has a bit of a superiority complex, preferring high elves to other races.
Highly organized, he runs much of the day to day work in Stoneblood Manor and arranging meetings for the high council.
Hanburn Glasserune
Baron Hanburn Glasserune is the Baron of Balvonier. He was found deceased the second day of the festival under suspicious circumstances by his only son, James Glasserune.
According to a well guarded secret family legend, they have 24 hours to bless his body with the family sword and bury him or he will turn into a vampire.
Well liked in town, he was known for being generous and fair.
James Glasserune
James Glasserune is the only son of the late Baron Hanburn Glasserune. His mother, Eriana, has been deceased for some time now.
Well liked by the villagers, James is friendly and tries to be involved with daily life, though he can be seen as a bit flighty and perhaps a bit of a scoundrel for how much time he spends at the brothel and tavern. He is almost never seen drunk or otherwise not sober, even if he has a drink in his hand.

Balvonier is an ancient city. Located as the first city when people enter Tricreche through the Brez Pass, this city stands as the capital of Tricreche. They make every effort to be modern, but there can occasionally be achoke point for technology in Corazon Island. Currently ruled by James Glasserune after the passing of his father, Baron Hanburn Glasserune. This town always rules with a baron from the Shinze religion and a Baroness from the Liguaquide religion, as is Glasserune tradition.

Oh, Right. The Sword. The Sword to Bless the Glasserunes, the Sword Chosen Especially to Kill the Vampires, the Glasserune Sword.
The group remembers that the key ingredient to the ceremony they have agreed to perform is the sword that they returned to the holy water and crystal sheath. With about an hour before the ceremony is supposed to start, they rush to figure out how to get the sword back. Blitherby and James arrive, the ceremony occurs, and everyone is suspicious. With a very long day behind them, they retire to IronKey House and meet a surprise friend in the garden before bed.
The One Where Furus D*I*E*S
The search for the Glasserune sword gets interesting. Finding traps at every turn, they are left to wonder who set them, and who wants them dead? An encounter in the cemetery confirms the presence of some unsavory characters, but can the group connect these two shady suspects to any of the problems in town?
Oh My God(s)!!!
Exploring a secret passage leads to more questions than answers. What is poisoning the water? There are several temples, but all of them seem not quite right. Two coffins contain the remains of what may be vampires, so could the Glasserune curse be real? So many clues, but do any of them fit with the current mystery? The clock ticks down.
But What About the Children?!
Tasked with finding the lost children of Balvonier, the group reluctantly reconvenes, heading to the Red Pony Tavern to attempt to gather information. Once there, they are recruited to help with a more pressing problem. How will this affect the search for the children? Could these incidents be related?
