Shaman Society

Shamans worship the spirits of things rather than a "God" or deity. They feel the pull of the strings of the universe. They feel the ebb and flow of life, the connections between all living things and memories. While Shamans of most orders are friendly with one another, the Great Shaman Summit only occurs every 3 years, where diplomats and leaders from each order come together and ensure that the spirits are all in balance.

As Shamans work with the spirits of things, they are usually well-versed on religions that are linked, even peripherally to their spirit. Below is the list of Shaman Orders, their runic symbol, and which religions they are usually incorporated into.

Ancestors are represented by the rune "Othalan", this is linked to inheritence, tradition, and nobility. This is pronounced as a long O sound.

Battle spirit is represented by two runes: Tiwaz and Kaunan. Tiwaz stands for victory and honor (Left). Kaunan means mortality and pain (Right).

Bones spirit is represented by the rune Mannaz, meanning man, or augmentation and support.

Flames are represented by the rune Naudhiz, or need. It means unfulfilled desire.

Frost is represented by the rune Isaz, which stands for ice.

Heaven is represented by the rune Ehwaz, or horse. It means trust, faith, companionship.

Life is represented by the rune Ingwaz, meaning fertilization, the beginning of something, and the actualization of potential.

Lore is represented by the rune Gebo, meaning gift or generosity.

Nature is represented by the rune Jera, or year, which means harvest or reward.

Slums are represented by the rune Fehu, or cattle, which means wealth, but with the rune inverted.

Stones is represented by Eiwhaz, or yew, pronounced like "eye". This means strength and stability.

Tribe spirit is represented by this rune, which is unknown, but simply called tribe. This stands for protection from enemies and defense of loved ones.
